Development of implementation plan generation based on strategy brief. Recommendation to client across all
media both traditional and non-traditional. Buying and negotiating media and ensuring clients are billed for the correct
media and media owners have all the correct documentation to invoice Havas.
Main responsibilities:
Media implementation planning
Within the agreed media mix, select individual TV stations, radio stations, magazine titles, poster sites,
events, etc using available research and judgment to create the optimum schedule(s)
Look for innovative ways to break through the advertising 'noise' levels
Meet with media sales representatives, to remain up-to-date with media developments and to discuss
best solutions for Client
Take all calls from media sales representatives diverted from client to media agency
Liaise with the Creative Agencies to ensure harmony of media selection with creative development
Present detailed schedules to the client for approval
Develop a clear buying brief
Brief media buyers, and supervise the progress of the campaign
Supply creative agencies with final approved plans, based on budgeted figures, at the time of approval and
notify these creative agencies of relevant plan changes as and when they are
Monitor expenditure vs. given budget and Purchase Order(s)
Revise plans as necessary, according to budget or date or format amendments as instructed by the client
Respond to adhoc client requests
Media buying, administration and budget management
Implement the approved media plan
Provide clear briefing to media owner sales representatives, to solicit offers
Negotiate the best deals in terms of efficiency, effectiveness, price, quality and value-added opportunities
of the agreed media plan
Strive for optimal savings on all media buying
Evaluate any special offers or opportunities and inform the advertiser of such offers and opportunities as
soon as such occur
Follow up the performance of the plan against the brief and given budget, and final media insertion schedule, in
buying reviews
Reconcile monthly billings against POs
Recommend alternatives where applicable
Amend or cancel bookings as and when required by the client, re-negotiating deals to avoid penalties
wherever possible
Negotiate maximum compensation for non-adherence to booking parameters or poor-quality repro
Respond to ad hoc requests from clients and planners
Assist with any other duties as assigned by senior team members
