Medical Case Manager - BoksburgFull job descriptionFull job descriptionAssess patient conditions and needs to develop appropriate care plansInteract with patients and medical aid schemesResolve patient and medical aid scheme queriesUpdate all information timeously and accuratelyCPT and ICD codingObtain doctors letters, motivations, and justifications in all appropriate cases under managed care of where medical aids request them as part of their assessing processMonitor patient admissions and identify those who have limitations, restrictions, place by their managed care/ medical aid structures e.g. cost restrictions, fixed fees, per diem and other limiting feesMaintain a control system that ensures the systematic monitoring of managed care patientsHandling patient queriesUpdate practice informationAssist with reception and other administrative duties when neededExperience with Medical Aid scheme case management.Experience in ICD 10 and CPT coding is essentialKnowledge of Prescribed Minimum Benefits (PMB) Scheme rules and policiesExcellent communication skills (written and spoken)Excellent analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent MS Office computer skills, i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel, Practice Management Software etc.Attention to detailAbility to cope well under pressureAbility to work independent and efficientFluent in Afrikaans and EnglishThe position needs to be filled with the suitable candidate, willing to dedicate their efforts to the growing and efficiency of the practice to serve disabled individuals with Orthotic and Prosthetic needs.This administrative position bears the responsibility to secure the administrative measures in order to deliver the services required to our patients.
