The Merchandise Allocator will ensure that the right products are available to be sold in the right quantity, in the right place, at the right time. Monitoring sales and stock levels and making sure that the required units and value of stock are available to meet customer demand. There is a strong focus on improving current administrative processes, standardizing interactions and ensuring all timelines are met. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in point of sale / ERP systems and will be comfortable with pulling reports, checking systems for data accuracy, and managing timelines in line with brand direction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Allocations
Compiling and executing allocations to stores under instruction to meet required cover/stock turn.
Identification of best sellers by store for review
Accurate Loading of promos for your brand.
Accurate Actioning markdowns for your brand.
Compiling and sending off all stock instructions - IBT's and RTS and follow up thereof.
Reporting & Distribution
Capturing and updating of the month to date sales and store cover reports
Providing feedback to the buyers based on the information collated
Review, set up and management of model stock for replenishment pick for all stock held at warehouse
Compiling and executing distributions based on store grading/ turnover in advance of date of required distribution
Stock administration
Loading of promos and actioning any agreed markdowns on the system
Ensure stock is distributed timeously for all promotional activity
Identifying the need for IBT's and RTS and presenting for sign-off - Compiling and sending of all stock instructions to stores, follow up on instructions are executed
Size Curve analysis/Health of Stock per store - feedback to Planner
Identifying ageing stock for review
Loading of all orders on the system and compilation of on order due dates
Timeous follow up on orders due for delivery and report to Planner/Brand Managers on late or non- delivery
Store support
Attending to any customer requests.
Stock queries from stores where over/under delivery has taken place.
Amend any GRV queries within 24hrs of receipt.
Stock requests to be logged and closed off once completed.
Education & Experience Requirements
Essential: Matric qualification
Desirable: A relevant business or retail tertiary qualification
Preferable: Minimum 1-2 years experience in a similar role within a Retail environment. Core Competencies
