Opportunity to shape and drive the omni-channel growth strategy for Jet, a well-established value homeware retailer.
Play a critical role in transforming Jet's omni home presence by leveraging consumer insights and market trends to deliver a compelling value proposition. This role will involve testing and evaluating new product lines for potential rollouts into stores and creating an "endless aisle" experience for customers by extending product choices.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategy and Product Range Planning:
Develop and implement a comprehensive category strategy for omni-channel in line with Jet's business goals. Identify new homeware and furniture opportunities based on gaps in the current assortment, market insights and trends, and establish an end-to-end product strategy.
Pricing, Promotion & Inventory Management:
Create pricing and promotional strategies that align with the company's value proposition and margin targets. Manage inventory to test market demand while mitigating inventory risk.
Supplier & Vendor Relationships:
Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to negotiate favourable terms, costs, and margins.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
Work closely with digital marketing and technology teams to optimise omni-channel merchandising and customer experience. Use data analysis to track performance and identify growth opportunities.
Qualifications Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; an MBA or related graduate degree is a plus.
Proven track record in senior merchandising roles
Experience managing multiple product categories with a focus on assortment planning, pricing strategy, and vendor management.
Skills:
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data, market trends, and customer insights.
Excellent negotiation skills and experience managing vendor relationships.
Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
Strong communication skills, able to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
