Job Description

We are seeking motivated, detail-oriented and proactive Merchandisers to join our team. The successful candidates will play a key role in ensuring our dairy products are effectively displayed, shelves are fully stocked and our brand presence in stores is consistently optimised. Additionally, this role will support our Sales Representatives by identifying sales opportunities, expanding customer relationships and driving overall business success!

Role Purpose:

The Merchandiser will ensure effective execution of merchandising duties and provide essential support to the Sales Representatives to drive sales growth, customer satisfaction and brand visibility. This role will involve maintaining product displays, managing stock and working closely with sales teams to identify new opportunities and expand customer relationships.

Role Requirements:

Grade 12 / Matric / Equivalent Prior experience in merchandising or sales support, preferably in the dairy or FMCG industry. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with customers and the sales team. Demonstrated ability to provide excellent service and support in a customer-facing environment. Effective time management, route planning and multitasking abilities to cover multiple locations or clients efficiently. A proactive, sales-driven attitude to help identify and capitalize on sales opportunities. Comfortable with lifting, stocking, and moving dairy products as needed.

Merchandising Responsibilities

:

Ensure all dairy products are correctly displayed, well-stocked and rotated to maintain freshness and maximize visibility. Follow store planograms and merchandising guidelines to ensure attractive, high-impact displays. Monitor and replenish stock levels, manage stock rotation and ensure shelves are always full and neat. Ensure pricing accuracy and set up promotional displays and materials to drive product awareness. Act as a company ambassador, fostering positive relationships with store staff to optimise product placement.

Sales Support Duties:

Identify sales opportunities during merchandising visits and communicate leads to Sales Representatives to drive revenue growth. Develop a comprehensive understanding of all dairy products to effectively promote and answer any customer or store inquiries. Assist in maintaining strong customer relationships by providing excellent service and supporting the resolution of any issues or concerns. Collaborate with the Sales Representative to plan and optimise routes, customer visits and sales opportunities in the assigned territory. Monitor competitor activity, market trends and customer feedback, reporting insights to Sales Representatives and management to refine sales strategies. Assist in ensuring accurate order placements, on-time deliveries, and proper stock replenishment to meet customer expectations. Support Sales Representatives in implementing in-store promotional activities, product demonstrations and sampling events. Share updates on stock levels, sales opportunities and promotional success with the sales team to help track performance metrics and improve sales strategies.
