Job Description
Who are we:Leading manufacturer of locally made apparelWho are we looking for:Merchandiser / Senior Coordinator within the supply of locally manufactured apparelWhat will you do:
- Meeting with Buyers to receive briefs for coming seasons
- Briefing Pattern makers following meetings with Buyers
- Costings based on rating and various components
- Sync experience (although sufficient training can be done if this hasn't been worked on before)
- Fabric orders
- Updating Buyers and Planners on timeline issues and order status
- Managing coordinating team who assist with trims, production and DC bookings
- Managing sample and sealing process through correct sample set briefing and requests
- Liaison with Retail QC when there are spec or grade rule concerns (as requested by internal QCs)
- Basic knowledge of fabric reactions in order to adapt styling but still maintain the brief
- Oversight or over run or under run in production / stock garments coming in / fabric and trim returns
- Management of strat stock fabric and ensuring anything ordered and brought in specifically for a Buyer, is take up and used by that buyer within season
- Quarterly travel to Cape Town will be required too
- Matric
- Relevant qualification in fashion, retail or production advantageous
