Job Description
Our client based in the Pietermaritzburg area is seeking an experienced Metallurgist Foreman. The ideal candidate should have strong supervisory skills to coordinate the activities of the team.Requirements:
- Necessary Metallurgical Engineering Qualification.
- Previous experience in metallurgy, with at least 3-5 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of metal properties, processing techniques, and industry standards.
- Ability to manage a team effectively and communicate clearly.
- Familiarity with safety and environmental regulations in the metallurgy industry.
- Supervise and lead the team in daily operations.
- Monitor metal processing operations, ensuring compliance with quality control standards.
- Inspect and maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Provide technical support and guidance to team members.
- Oversee the testing and analysis of metals to determine their composition and properties.
- Troubleshoot any issues related to metallurgical processes and implement solutions.
- Ensure all safety regulations are adhered to within the department.
- Maintain accurate records of operations, materials, and test results.
- Collaborate with other departments to meet production and operational goals.
