Job Title: Metallurgist - Mining IndustryLocation: North WestRPO Recruitment's client is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Metallurgist to join their team in the mining industry in the North West region. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the extraction, processing, and refining of metals from various ores in our mining operations.Responsibilities:

• Conduct metallurgical tests and analysis to determine the best methods for extracting metals from ore deposits
• Collaborate with mining engineers and geologists to develop efficient extraction and processing techniques
• Monitor and optimize processing operations to ensure the highest quality and yield of metal products
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to the extraction and processing of metals
• Develop and implement environmental and safety protocols for metallurgical processes
• Stay up-to-date on advancements in metallurgical technology and industry best practices

Requirements:

• BTech Degree in Metallurgy or Chemical Engineering
• At least 5 years' post qualification experience on metallurgical plants
• Must have PGM flotation and Chrome recovery plant experience
• Strong knowledge of metallurgical processes, equipment, and testing methods
• Experience with mineral processing, pyrometallurgy, and hydrometallurgy techniques
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
• Knowledge of environmental regulations and safety standards in the mining industry
