Job Description
Job Title: Metallurgist - Mining IndustryLocation: Northern CapeRPO Recruitment's client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Metallurgist to join their mining operation in the Northern Cape. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in metallurgy, with specific experience in the mining industry.Responsibilities:
- Conduct metallurgical tests and analysis to optimize plant performance
- Implement and monitor metallurgical processes to ensure efficiency and consistency
- Develop and improve processes to enhance recovery rates and productivity
- Monitor and analyze plant performance data to identify areas for improvement
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and optimize processes
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in metallurgy in the mining industry
- 2 years' experience in a senior management work environment.
- Floatation experience and knowledge
- Experience with mineral processing techniques and equipment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Salary: Negotiable
