Job Description

JOB PURPOSE:

The Revenue Consultant: Metering is responsible for implementing metering systems, analyzing meter data, ensuring compliance with

regulatory standards, troubleshooting issues, and supporting accurate billing and utility management. The role involves monitoring meter

reading progress, quality-checking readings, and providing technical support to stakeholders.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Metering System Implementation and Compliance

Implement metering systems for electricity and water usage in line with industry's best practices. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Data Analysis and Reporting

Analyze and interpret meter data for utility management and reporting purposes. Identify and report discrepancies or irregularities in meter readings.
Troubleshooting and Technical Support

Collaborate with engineers and technicians to troubleshoot and resolve metering system issues. Provide technical support and training to staff and clients on metering equipment and software.
Work Planning and Allocation

Plan and allocate meters to be read within the meter reading cycle to ensure completeness. Monitor meter reading progress against system records and timelines.
Quality Assurance and Documentation

Perform quality assurance (QA) checks on meter reading output for accuracy and correctness. Develop and document maintenance schedules, procedures, and systems for meter operations. Maintain accurate records of metering equipment and device counts.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

National Diploma or bachelor's degree in engineering, Water Management, Utility Management, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in meter reading, utility management, or metering systems. Knowledge of metering equipment, data analysis, and troubleshooting procedures. Experience with utility billing systems and meter reading software.
