The position will report to Manager Industrial Engineering and is based in Randjespark, Midrand (Gauteng).Job PurposeIndustrialise the maintenance & repairability of products for depots & repair centres, taking into account existing standards & project constraints.Supervise Life Cycle Cost for preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance and repairs activities.Lead industrialization of Providor, Make or Buy, Service Exchange, business cases, Obsolescence, ERP and database (ILS-PDM) in line with engineering breakdown structure and production activity to ensure life cycle cost improvements year by year.Obtain (FROM OEM) and update the industrial documentation necessary for all production & maintenance.Key ResponsibilitiesImplement the project Make or Buy strategy in all deliverables WITH OEM AND LCC TOOLCreate all tasks in LCC TOOL in line with Make or Buy strategyCollect LCC from suppliers in line with L4 repair and overhaul activityManage LCC IT tool in line with repair activityReceive latest Providor and prepare the necessary deliverablesCompile Part Breakdown Structure.Contribute to business Make or Buy profitable strategies by developing sound business casesCalculate Service Exchange and share with key stakeholdersCalculate budget inputs for preventative and corrective maintenance volumes.Generate regular meaningful report on LCC calculationContribute to obsolescence decision makingsLiaise WITH OEM on the industrialisation of technical documentation, respecting the standard manufacturing process & standard manufacturing line guidelines (orientate & validate the conception while taking into account the industrial constraints of the manufacturing and maintenance sites, in Concurrent Engineering with the design teamsIdentify and propose necessary changes to the Control Change Board, where appropriate, to reduce non quality or improve safety of operationsLead analysis and change request on the life cycle cost toolBuild and maintain up to date the industrial ERP data, including the bill of material, the process routings, the configuration management data, and the manufacturing and service execution systems, including data necessary for the MMIS.Ensure S, Q, C, D and Economic Development targets are reached on the attributed work package, by an active participation to the optimisation of the product / process and positively influence the spent time for OVERALL PROGRAM (LEVEL 4 AND MAINT REGIME)Respecting the REQUIRED industrial deliverable with respect to the OEM (in line with the IMFU)Consider and implementing the return of experience, EHS & Lean Manufacturing standards in all activitiesto ensure line saturation & spent time targets of the production & maintenance workstations are achieved in line with industrial requirementsEnsure technical support to the workers in the production and maintenance activitiesPropose new or improved ways of working that will enable the industrial teams to improve their efficiency of the safety of work to performCarry out such work in accordance with strict Health & Safety procedures as laid down by legislation and the Company Health & Safety policies.Lead industrialization of repair quotes & ensure accurate damage reportsReport accidents/incidents, and the work done to validate or maintain the tools.Minimum RequirementsDegree/BSc/BTech in industrial engineering.IT literate ( Word, Advanced Excel, PowerPoint)Industrial background with 5 yearsxe2x80x99 experience preferably in the railway industry orTechnical background with 5 yearsxe2x80x99 experience preferably in the railway industry (Repairs environment), ideally in an international organizationAbility to read and understand schematics and drawingsTechnical experience of Methods Engineering, writing and improving manufacturing and/or maintenance work instructions, line balancing, Lean ManufacturingExperience in working with an ERP (such as SAP) for Bill of Materials, Routings, Configuration follow-upWorking knowledge of Quality and Health & Safety standards and systemsSpecial RequirementsThe job involves frequent mobility, with work in several depots.Closing Date10 September 2024Should you not hear from us in 30 days, consider your application as unsuccessful.Job Segment: ERP, Database, Technical Support, SAP, Technology
