Micro-Algae Plant Production Manager (NW Province) (LC_704) Scientific (Technical)ESSENTIALSB. Agric / BSc Horticulture / BSc Plant Science OR related with ~ 3- 5 yrs production experience in the food & beverage processing OR horticulture OR hydroponics industry. Working knowledge & understanding of plant physiology, nutrient management, horticulture, hydroponics/micro-algae systems. Proven leadership & team management skills. SA citizen.Location: Koster, NW ProvinceSalary: Based on experienceDETAILSOur client is a leading innovator in sustainable agriculture, specialising in the exciting production of micro-algae on a large scale. This is a brand-new role in a newly built state-of-the-art facility!This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the micro-algae production & operations, including managing micro-algae growth cycles, ensuring optimal growing conditions, managing packaging operations (quantity & quality), managing operational staff (~ 10 pax), managing resources & budgets and coordinating maintenance requirements, with the ultimate goal of implementing best practices for maximum yield and quality. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding & experience in process operations, aquatic chemistry and water treatment. Great team management skills and experience & the ability to lead are key to ensure that stringent production requirements are met. The incumbent will report directly to the Technical Manager.REQUIREMENTS

• B. Agric / BSc Plant Science / BSc Horticulture or related.
• 3~5yrs + years production experience within a F&B / hydroponics /horticulture processing industry
• Demonstrable data analysis & interpretation experience to inform operational decision-making
• Proven leadership & team management skills
• Ability to trouble-shoot, problem solve, be detail-orientated & self-motivated
• Great communication skills (in English)
• Highly computer literate & technically savvy to manage plant management software
• Drivers license, own vehicle, SA citizens only
