Microtunneling Manager (Civil Engineering)Location: Somerset West, Western Cape.There is an exciting new opportunity available for a Microtunneling Manager at a leading diversified civil engineering company.Position Overview:The Microtunneling Manager will be responsible for managing and co-ordinating all Microtunneling projects for the company.One will plan, schedule and monitor work progress of Microtunneling projects and Microtunneling team members. He/she will assist with tendering of new projects and managing of Microtunneling teams and logistics.This position also entails one to assist with purchasing, maintenance planning and ordering of parts on specialized Microtunneling and shoring equipment and reviewing/providing guidance on technical issues to mitigate delays.Experience, Qualifications and Knowledge Required:
A Degree or Diploma in Civil and or Mechanical Engineering.
At least 10 years' experience in a similar managerial role including Pipe Jacking Microtunneling, SCL, TBM's, Shaft Work, and Deep Excavations.
Must have a clear criminal record.
Must have a valid driver's licence and own reliable transport.
One must be medically fit.
