Position Overview:


We are seeking a motivated and skilled

Mid-Level Field Engineer

to join our technical team. This role involves providing on-site and remote technical support, managing and maintaining networks and systems, and assisting in the delivery of cloud services. The position requires strong technical knowledge, excellent problem-solving skills, and a customer-focused attitude.

Key Responsibilities:



Technical Service Delivery:



Provide network maintenance and support, including LAN, WAN, and wireless environments. Handle problem management and resolution, ensuring timely and efficient troubleshooting. Support and manage cloud services, with a primary focus on Microsoft 365 and other cloud platforms. Provide ISP support, ensuring seamless internet service delivery for clients. Offer exceptional customer service, ensuring clients are kept fully informed and satisfied. Collaborate with internal teams to provide professional, timely assistance.

Administrative Responsibilities:



Manage ticketing systems and billing processes effectively. Maintain accurate service records for clients, ensuring full transparency in the actions taken. Update clients regularly on service requests and resolutions.

Requirements:



Knowledge & Experience:



Strong knowledge of information technologies, including network systems and services. Experience with remote management systems (RMM) and ticketing tools. Proficiency in Microsoft Operating Systems, particularly Windows 10/11, with advantageous knowledge of Apple OS. Sound understanding of networking, including routing, switching, and wireless networking. Expertise in cloud platform management, especially Microsoft 365. Ability to collaboratively plan, design, implement, monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize IT systems. Ability to take ownership of tasks and deliver work with accountability.

Qualifications:



Compulsory:

National Diploma in Information Technology (NQF Level 6) (3 year completed qualification, please provide

Certifications:

Microsoft MSP (Cloud), CompTIA A+, and CompTIA Network+ (N+). Experience with ticketing and RMM systems is a plus.

: A copy of your academic transcript from your tertiary institution.

Copy of Diploma

: A certified copy of your National Diploma in Information Technology (NQF Level 6) or equivalent. Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in a similar role.

Other Requirements:



Bilingual in English and Afrikaans. Strong team player with excellent communication skills. Own mobile phone. Own transport and valid driver's license.

Probationary Period:



3-month probation period from the start date. During probation, you will be expected to achieve Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) based on billable hours. The salary structure during probation includes a reduced Minimum Monthly Requirement (MMR) with a 50% salary guarantee.

Training and Development:



Ongoing training and certifications are required to ensure continued professional development. Self-driven approach to learning and skill improvement is essential.

Additional Information:



All staff are part of a stand-by roster for emergency after-hours work. You must be available for after-hours support calls as needed.
