Job Description
Van Heerden Mays Publications cc T/A Media Xpose, a Level 2 BBBEE, was established in September 2010 with a 60% black ownership. We specialize in magazine publishing, corporate branding, digital advertising, graphic design, print and sponsorships. We are publishers of various print publications, which include the following titles: To Build, SA Building Review, Babys and Beyond, SA Business Integrator, SA Profile, Rove SA and Future SA.The RoleKey duties
- Research and write compelling, objective and newsworthy content for print publications and online platforms
- Conduct interviews
- Liaise with designer regarding creative
- Ensure quality is maintained
- At least 5 years experience as a writer
- Must be able to work in InDesign to do text changes
- A formal qualification in journalism, communication or media
- An interest in current affairs, business, travel, lifestyle, health and education
- Confidence and a commitment towards ensuring deadlines are met
- Creative - an out of the box thinker
- Works well within a team
- Drivers license and reliable own vehicle
- Flexibility with regard to travel - please note out of province and out of country travel is sometimes required
- Desirable: previous experience in the magazine publishing field
