Job Description

Minimum Requirements:

• Trade Certificate (Millwright)
• 3 years relevant experience
• Knowledge of legislative and statutory requirements in SA
• Experience working in a FMCG environment
• Knowledge of equipment and machinery
• FCCS 22000 ISO 14001 OHSAS 18001 certificate/s advantageous

Key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

• Maintaining of electrical, mechanical and any other related equipment, as well as buildings, facilities and fixtures
• Construction and installation, assembling and disassembling when needed, of equipment as required
• Inspect, maintain and repair industrial machinery and equipment
• Machinery, and individual part alignment
• Breakdown maintenance, prioritizing according to production requirements
• Perform planned maintenance on machinery and equipment
• Preventative maintenance
• Fit, inspect, test and repair MCC circuits & wiring systems and electrical equipment
• Use, install and apply fault finding in programmable logical control circuits (PLCs)
• Follow all legislative requirements, policies, procedures and practices relevant to the lockout, isolation of electrical, mechanical and any other related equipment

Working Times:

• shift work 7 days a week and some shifts are the 8 hours and 3-week rotation of 6-2 , 2-10 and 10-6am and the other shift is the normal 6 6
• There is also call out and weekend work and holiday work for planned maintenance work
• Call out a person uses their own car and reimbursed for KM driven and call out fee for the day
