Millwright Manufacturing

Our client, based in Maitland, Cape Town, seeks a trade-tested Millwright. You must have electrical experience within a production environment.

• Experience with PLCs
• Experience with Motors and Drives
• Attention to detail

• Willing to learn
• Ability to work shifts
• Own vehicle and license

Key Duties:

• Ensure proper electrical and mechanical fault reporting and maintenance is always performed to the Employers standard.
• Ensure the proper cleaning of all tools and equipment
• Carry out the preventative maintenance or repair of all electrical & mechanical issues as required
• Carry out the maintenance or repair of all existing and future machinery
• Such preventative maintenance includes daily weekly, monthly and annual maintenance.
• Stock take of critical spare parts and report to supervisors and management on requirements.
• Develop new systems and processes to aid the production efficiency of all machinery and equipment to meet the Production Efficiency targets
• Work to reduce scrap, wastage, and machinery downtime wherever possible.
• Repair broken or defective machinery parts using welding, brazing, and other specialised tools and equipment.
• Review and follow highly technical and complex machinery manuals.
• Collaborate with multiple technicians, engineers, and other members to construct, maintain, and repair various technical machinery.
• Using other heavy machinery, such as forklifts, to carry out the above duties.
