Job Description
The successful candidate will maintain, test, and commission electrical, electronic, and mechanical equipment and systems at the plant, as well as work on electrical transmission and distribution equipment, and carry out preventative maintenance.Duties:
- Reduce breakdowns and downtime periods in the relevant business unit to limit unnecessary costs
- Install, maintain, repair, and commission electrical, electronic, and mechanical equipment and systems at the plant, as well as work on electrical transmission and distribution equipment
- Report machine failure and breakdowns to management, record it on the daily log sheet, and ensure job cards are created
- Continuous improvement on all equipment and installation measures
- Ensure preventative scheduled maintenance is done as scheduled and the machinery functions optimal on a continuous basis
- Comply with Occupational Health and Safety requirements as per Company standards and procedures
- Continuously do fault finding and problem solving on electrical equipment
- Liaise with internal departments on an ongoing basis to ensure the quality of services and products
