Job Description

RPO Recruitment is currently seeking a skilled Millwright to join our client's team in the mining industry in the Northern Cape. As a Millwright, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of machinery and equipment used in mining operations.Responsibilities

• Perform regular maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
• Repair or replace defective parts as needed
• Conduct preventive maintenance activities
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure optimal machine performance
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment
• Keep accurate records of maintenance activities

Requirements

• Grade 12
• Millwright Trade Test Certificate
• At least a N3 in Engineering
• Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance and repair of heavy machinery in the mining industry
• Equipment experience required: Komatsu: 730-10; 860; PC4000; WA1200 & CAT: 994H
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
• Experience with heavy equipment used in mining operations
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations in the mining industry
