We are looking for a Millwright to join our company in the FMCG industryLocation: George, Western CapePurpose of the Role:To ensure maximum uptime of production equipment, maintain all equipment to required standards and be responsive to production needs and equipment failure. To be responsible for installing, inspecting, adjusting and repairing equipment whilst following safety rules and regulations.Key Performance Indicators for this role (but not limited to):

• Fault finding and proactively repairing machinery
• Coordinate and execute preventative maintenance at planned intervals to enable the production team to produce high, quality and safe products
• Reduce downtime in the production areas through effective and applied maintenance processes

Job Summary (but not limited to):

• Execution of electrical, mechanical and instrumentation preventative maintenance on equipment
• Maintain reliability and integrity of machine control and safety systems
• Efficient fault finding and repair
• Self-study to accelerate general plant knowledge machine working principles
• Provide technical support and expertise as may be required
• Provide on the job coaching to apprentices
• PLC control system troubleshooting to IO level
• Responsible for housekeeping of work area
• Maintenance and housekeeping of own toolbox to 5S standards, a place for everything and everything in its place
• First time right execution of maintenance activities (Safe, efficient, no comebacks)
• Test various electrical and mechanical equipment using standard test equipment and observing system/unit operations
• Capturing of job cards in the preventative maintenance system
• Planning and implementation of various maintenance projects and maintenance job-cards
• Design and layout circuits, install fixtures, wiring conduits motors and other electrical equipment/ components
• General maintenance of unused machines
• In consultation with production staff, identify equipment and areas requiring attention
• Constant review of production line to ensure optimal effectiveness
• Provide coverage for annual and personal leave of other maintenance members across all shifts

Role Capabilities:

• Good communication skills with the ability to work with others to achieve objectives
• High level of professionalism in the physical execution of maintenance tasks
• Excellent interpretation skills of failure root cause identification
• Sound and proven skills in Planning and Organizing of job-cards and spare part requirements
• Extensive knowledge of Robotics (technical aptitude)

Qualifications and Experience:

• Qualified Red Seal Millwright
• National technical diploma is advantageous
• Minimum 3 - 5 years post trade test experience in a similar role in an FMCG environment
• Valid Forklift license is advantageous
• Valid motor vehicle driversxe2x80x99 license
• Computer literacy
