Job Title: Mine ManagerLocation: Northern Cape, South AfricaIndustry: MiningOur client, a leading mining company in the Northern Cape, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mine Manager to oversee operations at their mine. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of mining operations, including safety, production, and cost control. They will also be responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans to optimize production and ensure the long-term sustainability of the mine.Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize production and ensure the long-term sustainability of the mine
• Oversee all aspects of mining operations, including safety, production, and cost control
• Manage and develop a team of mining professionals, including engineers, supervisors, and operators
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations
• Monitor and evaluate production performance and implement improvements where necessary
• Develop and manage budgets and control costs to ensure profitability
• Liaise with stakeholders, including government agencies, local communities, and other industry partners
• Lead investigations into incidents and accidents, and implement corrective actions as necessary
• Implement and maintain effective systems for reporting and recording production and safety data

Requirements:

• Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or related field
• Mine Managers Certificate
• Post Graduate qualification in MBA/MBL/Senior Management/Leadership equivalent
• Minimum of 8 years' operational Mining Engineer/Mine overseer experience
• Minimum of 2 years' operational Supervisory/Middle Management experience
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing strategic plans
• Solid understanding of health and safety regulations in the mining industry
• Proven track record of managing budgets and controlling costs
• Valid driver's license
