Job Summary Job Title: Mine OverseerLocation: Mpumalanga, South AfricaPosition: Full-timeHire Resolve's Client are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Coal Mine Overseer to join their team at our mining operation in Mpumalanga. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mining operations with a focus on coal production.Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all mining activities at the coal mine, ensuring safe and efficient operations
- Develop and implement production plans to meet targets and deadlines
- Monitor equipment usage and maintenance, ensuring equipment is operating at optimal levels
- Manage and supervise a team of miners, ensuring they are trained and equipped to work safely and effectively
- Ensure compliance with all mining regulations and safety guidelines
- Implement and monitor environmental management practices to minimize the impact of mining operations on the environment
- Work closely with other departments to coordinate activities and achieve production goals
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actionsRequirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or related field
- Mine Overseer's Certificate of Competency
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory role in coal mining operations
- Knowledge of mining regulations and safety procedures
- Strong leadership skills and ability to motivate and manage a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities
