RPO Recruitment is currently seeking a skilled Mine Overseer to join a prominent mining company in the Northern Cape. As a Mine Overseer, you will play a critical role in overseeing and coordinating mining operations, ensuring productivity and safety. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a leading player in the mining industry.Responsibilities:

• Implement and maintain safety standards and procedures within the mining operations.
• Monitor and optimize mining operations to meet production targets and quality standards.
• Plan and schedule mining activities, including drilling, blasting, and hauling.
• Supervise and provide guidance to mining staff, ensuring effective teamwork and performance.
• Ensure compliance with relevant mining regulations and company policies.
• Collaborate with other departments to optimize mining processes and resolve operational issues.
• Monitor and control production costs to achieve targets.
• Keep accurate and up-to-date records of mining activities and production data.

Requirements

• Underground Blasting Certificate
• Mine Overseers Certificate of Competency
• 2 - 5 Years Mine Overseer experience.
• 8 Years Miner and Shift Supervisor experience within an underground mining operation including trackless / board and pillar experience.
• Sound knowledge of mining regulations and best practices.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of mining software and technologies.
• Willingness to work in remote locations and adhere to safety protocols.
