RPO Recruitment, a leading recruitment agency in the Mining industry, is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Mine Overseer to join our client's team in the North West province. As a Mine Overseer, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating mining operations to ensure safety, efficiency, and productivity.Our client is a reputable mining company committed to excellence and continuous improvement. • Manage and supervise the day-to-day operations of the mine to achieve production targets.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Monitor and analyze mining activities, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering and geology, to optimize mine design and development.
• Lead and motivate a team of miners, providing guidance and training as needed.
• Prepare and submit reports on mining activities, including production volumes and equipment maintenance.
• Manage the efficient utilization of resources, including equipment and manpower.

Requirements

• Mining Engineering Degree or B-Tech in Mining or equivalent qualification
• Blasting Certificate for underground hard rock or equivalent
• Mine Overseer Certificate
• Minimum of 10 years` experience at metalliferous mines with 5 years underground mining experience, which must be in a mechanised mining development, including hybrid and mechanised bord & pillar
• 3 yearsxe2x80x99 underground supervisory experience as an appointed Mine Overseer.
• Sound knowledge of mining legislation, regulations, and best practices.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
