Job Description

RPO Recruitment is currently looking for a skilled Mine Planner to join our esteemed client in the mining industry located in the North West province. As a Mine Planner, you will be responsible for creating and implementing mine plans to ensure efficient and safe mining operations.Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain mine plans, including short-term and medium-term plans.
• Collaborate with geologists, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and effective mine planning.
• Analyze geological data and interpret mining schedules to optimize production.
• Monitor and track actual mining performance to ensure adherence to mine plans.
• Identify and recommend operational improvements to enhance productivity and cost-efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations.

Requirements

• Diploma in Mining Engineering or Mine Surveying
• Rock Breakers Certificate/Blasting Certificate
• Minimum 7 years of experience in the mining industry, of which a minimum of three 3 years is on an opencast mine
• Proficiency in mine planning software such as Deswick, MineRP, or similar.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Valid driver's license.
