In South Africa, we have mining operations in the Northern Cape province, as well as a head office in Gauteng, and a port operation in Saldanha Bay, Western Cape.Guided by our purpose and our values, we enable both high performance and purposeful action as we aim to re-imagine mining to improve peoples lives", delivering the metals and minerals that make modern life possible. -2 x Positions availablePurposeMining operation is managed and directed to achieve the budgeted plan and schedule compliance metricsMining Equipment are utilised according to the target to ensure the achievement of hauling targets.Trucks are loaded to full capacity when hauling and the Loading section is informed when this is not achieved.The different factors from a haulings perspective that influence cycle times, are addressed to ensure the shortest possible cycle times.Substandard road conditions are reported to the responsible section to keep damage to haul trucks to the minimum.Integrate with plant on continuous basisClose monitoring of drilling processUsing the Mine Process Control (MPC), Dispatch and Analyse and Improve to reduce variability and enhance performance by monitoring, responding and escalating issues affecting truck and shovel rates e.g. speeds, spotting, queuing at the dump and at the shovel, hang time, truck payloads/ number of passes, loading time, swing time etc.Ensuring that loading and hauling operator behaviours that affect the reliability of equipment are attended toCompliance to plan through Work Management short interval controlMonitoring and controlling other MPC system enhancement outputs e.g. Big Data trends affecting production through e.g. algorithms that mine cloud data for trendsDoes 1st level interrogation of the system integrity and resolves issues posed to ensure continuing confidence in the system by the stakeholdersEffectively escalates technical system problems to the technicians for resolutionSuggests improvements to the system and ensures their successful integration into the operating philosophyManage the section's expenditure within the approved budget to ensure effective cost control and savings. Qualifications-QualificationsNational Diploma in Mining/3 years experience as a Mine OverseerFLM / MMP will be a recommendationMine Overseers Ticket will be advantageousComputer Literacy, MS Office.
