A reputable chemical manufacturing company based in Kempton Park has a challenging but exciting position for a suitably qualified instrumentation supervisor.
Purpose of the job
The Instrumentation Maintenance Supervisor reports to the Instrumentation Manager and has the primary responsibilities of:
Be appointed as the OHS Section 8.2 for instrumentation works on site
Fully understand the Occupational Health and Safety Act
Manage and plan the instrumentation execution of work as per the maintenance strategies available on the CMMS software (SAP system).
Lead and organise the instrumentation personnel (Technicians, Mechanicians and Workshop Mechanicians)
Control the instrumentation infrastructure, systems, and instrumentation resources
Experience
• 5 to 10 years’ experience working in engineering/maintenance management.
• Computer literacy in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Knowledge of the Area Classification and Safety integrity Level (SIL) Standards
Qualifications:
• Matric
• National Diploma in Instrumentation Engineering, Equivalent or Higher.
• Instrumentation Trade Test - Red Seal (Advantageous)
Technical Competencies
• Technical and Supervisory knowledge demonstrated and learnt in the Instrumentation field in the chemical processing plants or similar
• Extensive knowledge of ISO 14001, 45001, 9001
• Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety, SIL and Area Classification Standards
• SHERQ Training course
• Safety Work Permit training
• Computer Literacy in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Digilex and Power Point)
• Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems
Personal Circumstances:
• Must be able to obtain a satisfactory medical report from the companies’ medical centre
• May be required to be on standby.
Other details
Salary: R650K basic annual salary, highly negotiable depending on experience.
