In South Africa, we have mining operations in the Northern Cape province, as well as a head office in Gauteng, and a port operation in Saldanha Bay, Western Cape.Guided by our purpose and our values, we enable both high performance and purposeful action as we aim to re-imagine mining to improve people's lives", delivering the metals and minerals that make modern life possible.PurposeDevelop the three-month mine plan, in line with the budget 12-month plan, to be used as the output for the weekly planning horizon.Your duties will include:Manage a safe and healthy work environment where workers and contractor can deliver their outputs within a controlled risk environment.Keep environmental impact within statutory requirements to ensure compliance.Active participation in VFLs, Risk Assessments and close-out of Safety Actions.Meet mining objectives by ensuring all planning systems are current and aligned with the 12 12-month plan.Ensure the 3-month mine plan has sufficient detail to construct weekly plans for loading, hauling, drilling, and blasting.Ensure that the monthly plan caters to the blending and ore flow (crushing and stockpiling) of different material types and classes.Ensure plans are adjusted according to operating conditions, geological deviations, plant needs, etc.Construct terms of reference to specify inputs into monthly plans - consult with different stakeholders to ensure realistic productivity assumptions.Identify and recommend opportunities to improve the short-term planning processes to minimise changes and maximise stability.Create plans following the Mine Health and Safety Act and the Mine's regulations that are within budget and direct mine production activities to achieve short-term targets.Review the plan design with mine production and ensure that the plan tonnages, quality, rehabilitation, and safety comply with longer-term plans.Partaking in reconciliation processes.Ensure that infrastructure planning is aligned with shorter-term plans (including positioning roads, electrical and water networks).Undertake tasks as assigned on implementing the Anglo Operating Model in the Operational Mine Planning.QualificationsQualificationsRelevant National Diploma NQF6B Tech Mining Engineer Degree/or relevant 4-year degree - AdvantageousValid SA Drivers LicenseExperienceTechnical KnowledgeProficiency in Xecute, Surpac, and MicroStation software.Familiarity with other mine planning software.Experience in mine planning and related operations.Understand relevant safety and mining legislation.Additional InformationWho we are
