Job Description
The core responsibilities of the position include:xc2xb7Mould servicing and repairsxc2xb7Systematic fault finding on breakdowns and start-upsxc2xb7Planned maintenance workxc2xb7Identifying process related problems linked to mouldsxc2xb7Problem solving and solution implementationxc2xb7Support planning system and changes in requirementsxc2xb7Work shift if necessaryxc2xb7Ensuring good SHE practices and housekeepingxc2xb7Proficient use of Maximoxc2xb7Collaborate with cross functional teams to improve department effectivenessThe requirements for the position include:xc2xb7Matric with an N3 or higher qualificationxc2xb7Minimum 3 years experiencexc2xb7A recognised apprenticeship and trade testxc2xb7Reading and understanding engineering, pneumatic drawingsxc2xb7Carrying out systematic faultfinding on all other mechanical equipmentxc2xb7Apply structured problem-solving techniques to find root causesxc2xb7Apply mechanical discipline with regard to Engineering and Operations requirementsxc2xb7Knowledge of basic computer applicationsxc2xb7Interpretation of engineering drawingsxc2xb7Preparedness to work overtime and standbyxc2xb7Self-confidence with excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to challenges is essential for this position.xc2xb7Preferably a candidate with experience in aluminum processing equipment.
