Job Description

Experience:

• Minimum 5 Years of relevant Sea freight and Air freight Forwarding.
• Cargo-wise experience

• Manage purchase orders on behalf of our clients from cradle to grave
• Communicate with overseas offices
• Negotiate rates with relevant third parties
• Ensure that incoming documents are checked, registered and processed without delay
• Ensure that shipment history is recorded on file and that copies of all documents are held on file
• Manage customs, port and carrier documents
• Liaising with customs officials to finalize stops, border police inspections and customs queries
• Ensure all required documents are received on time, in full of no errors
• Follow shipment files through until goods are delivered, PODs are obtained, all supporting documents are filed and the full
• process is entered into the computer system
• Send regular status reports and keep clients updated about the status of their shipments
• Ensure that communication with Freitan departments, overseas offices, agents and other external parties is attended to
• promptly, professionally and timeously
• Invoice files correctly within stipulated time parameters
• Ensure that third parties are paid for services rendered and in line with agreed rates
• Finalize full profitability on file and ensure all supporting invoices are paid and on file
• Any queries to do with the shipment are managed professionally and pro-actively, involving the Operations Manager where
• necessary
• Shipment file presented to Operations Manager once shipment completed, documents to be filed in specific order with all
• supporting documents available for audit purposes
• Assist and support the team and superior where necessary

• Grade 12
• Computer Literate Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
