NATIONAL LOGISTICS MANAGER - ISANDORESPONSIBILITIES:Strategy DevelopmentCreate and implementation of best practice logistics vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to assist with improving operational excellenceTransport and Logistics ManagementDevelop and maintain strong relationships with all connected with the logistics processEnsure all completed orders are dispatched on timeEnsure products are shipped appropriately to ensure quality of goods during transportationSupport new business initiatives and projects and contribute to review meetings and change process.Conduct or review environmental audits for logistics activities to ensure processes are as environmentally friendly as possibleFinancial ManagementManage and monitor departmental budgets and expenses to ensure financial goals are met.Lead all key operations decision-making processes including budgeting, forecasting, quality, reporting, and any other operational aspectsAnalyse and interpret financial results for the departmentGeneral and People ManagementManage, coach and develop a high performing team that meets agreed objectives and delivers best practice results, added value and continuous improvementsSet departmental objectives/KPIs and review and assess ongoing performance of direct reportsReport on achievement of targets and identify any actions requiredEnsure that all functions under supervision operate in accordance with health, safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of staff and visitorsPerform other ad-hoc responsibilities as and when needed.Maintaining relationships with customers to ensure adequate supply of productsManage inventory levels to ensure adequate supplies without overstocking or understocking products in each depotOversee maintenance of equipment used in operations to ensure safe working conditions for employeesEnsure compliance with legislation and policiesEvaluate new technologies for streamlining supply chain processesMonitor and analyse financial performance of the depotsDevelop and implement plans to improve efficiency and reduce costs in the operations (production and logistics) departmentEnable Customer CentricityMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:Bachelors degree in supply chain management or equivalent is essentialAt least 5 years of experience in supply chain management, preferably in the FMCG industryStrong knowledge of supply chain regulations and complianceExperience with fleet management and maintenanceExcellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team3-5 years proven work experience in a management positionProven commercial and financial acumen with excellent numerical skillsProven ability to implement process improvement initiativesStrong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)ERP System, i.e., SAGE Evolution knowledge will be advantageousAdvanced level of proficiency in MS Office Packaged (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Solid knowledge of OHA Act, Quality management and Risk Management systemsStrong communication and leadership skillsStrong decision making and problem-solving skillsProactively contribute to creating a good team atmosphereAnticipate and overcome obstaclesMake useful links to arrive at insightful plans and solutionsEmbraces personal challengesConfident, rounded thinker with logical reasoningIs self aware, resilient, optimistic and open to changeSelf motivated, flexible and works well under pressureJob Type: PermanentSalary: R700,000.00 - R900,000.00 per yearEducation:Bachelors (Required)Experience:Supply Chain Management: 5 years (Required)Manufacturing: 3 years (Preferred)
