National Maintenance Manager - East RandFull job descriptionThe National Maintenance Manager is responsible for the effective and efficient planned, preventative and corrective maintenance activities in their entirety for all Teraco assets nationally, thus ensuring maximum system availability and uptime.OBJECTIVESMAIN FUNCTIONS OF THE JOBMaintenance ManagementManage planned, preventative and corrective maintenance activities for all Teraco Data Centres ensuring maximum system availabilityManage maintenance working methods to ensure all SLA and MSAs are achievedManage and ensure all corrective works are carried out and completed in a timeous manner to the required and expected Teraco standardsCarry out regular supplier reviews to ensure relationships are maintained to drive quality service across the businessWhere possible, standardise maintenance activities across all facilitiesManagement of data centre infrastructure to provide a concurrently maintainable, cost-effective system supporting 99.999% electrical uptime and 99.99% mechanical uptimeCo-ordinate maintenance efforts to ensure all facilities maintained to Teraco standardsConduct retrospective sessions in order to identify areas for continued service delivery improvementsDevelop and maintain maintenance schedules, ensure visibility thereof and enforce strict adherence to suchRespond to emergency calls for maintenancePerform troubleshooting and effective root cause analysis to permanently resolve maintenance related issuesPerform administrative tasks as requiredEnsure client notifications contain concise, accurate information and sent out to the correct recipients on time by the necessary departmentsReview tasks on the maintenance management system to ensure correct documentation has been uploadedEnsure that the uploaded maintenance documentation has been completed correctly as per the required Teraco standardsContinuous quality checks on uploaded/submitted documentationWeekly management updates on all maintenance related tasks and auditsEnsure all assets are loaded correctly and linked to the relevant tasks on the maintenance management system i.e., asset and inventory managementProvide system training and ongoing support on the maintenance platform to the infrastructure maintenance teamEnsure that all work performed is in accordance with established practices and procedures[AP1] Continuous review of methods of procedures (MOP)Active participation in site hand-over process from Construction fit out to Operations.Analyse the maintenance planning system and modify where necessary to be able to run a simple yet effective maintenance systemComplianceMaintain compliance in accordance with all relative policies and proceduresSupport the HR department in achieving the organisation developmental plan deliverables within agreed timelinesMeet agreed inter-departmental OLA (Operational Level Agreement)H&S monitoring and corrective action to meet statutory compliance, SLAs and good business practiceImplement company and departmental policies, processes and work instructions as per the agreed quality and timeline/RFSActive participation for both external and internal auditsCritical System ManagementEnsure all maintenance events are scheduled correctly on the maintenance management platformEnsure all planned, preventative and corrective maintenance is managed in accordance to ensure customer MSAs and SLAs are achievedConduct working methods to maintain agreed PUE levelsTask finalisation and report accurately, as per agreed format, quality and within the agreed timelinesBudgetOverall maintenance budgeting and trackingScrutinize the monthly operating costs and perform checks where necessary.
