POSITION OVERVIEW

Based in Gauteng (but travels across all Chipkins Puratos sites), to further strengthen our local Operations team, we are currently seeking a:

National Operations Manager -

(Gauteng, South Africa)

II. - MISSION

To standardise distribution and warehousing practices across the country to ensure efficient and, cost effective operations at all branches.

III. - KEY TASKS

Analysis of distribution and warehouse costs across the business monthly with reporting Focus on effective cost management in distribution and warehousing at branch level including centralizing service providers where practical. Optimize wastage management at branches. Efficient route planning National pallet management Ensuring compliance to all regulations and Health & Safety requirements Inspections of all handling equipment used in branches. Management of National Warehouse Overall management of Delivery Fleet and standardize to most efficient vehicles. Analysis of staffing structures and management of temporary labour and overtime.

IV. - JOB REQUIREMENT

Minimum Matric (Grade 12); BCom/Btech in Logistics is preferred or related qualification. 7 years in a Logistics & Warehousing Management experience. Computer literacy: MS Office suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word), Written comprehension - the ability to read and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences. Good communication skills - English is a prerequisite. Ability to read and write in English and any other language(s) Good personality, hardworking, teamwork, service orientated, creative, innovative, trustworthy, open to learn from feedback.
