My client is a leading international logistics company, recognised for their innovative supply chain solutions and commitment to delivering excellence. Their extensive network spans across continents, providing comprehensive logistics services that meet the diverse needs of their clients.My client is seeking an experienced and strategic National Sales Director to join their executive team. The ideal candidate will lead and drive my clients national sales strategy, ensuring the achievement of revenue and growth targets while enhancing their market position.This role demands a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of the logistics industry, a proven track record in sales leadership, and the ability to inspire and lead high-performing teams.Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive national sales strategy aligned with the companyxe2x80x99s overall business objectives.
  • Identify new business opportunities and drive growth across all logistics services, including freight forwarding, warehousing, and supply chain solutions.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a national sales team, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and fostering a culture of excellence.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their logistics needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Drive the achievement of national sales targets, revenue growth, and profitability.
  • Monitor and analyse sales performance metrics, adjusting strategies as needed to meet business objectives.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for expansion.
  • Lead business development initiatives, including the pursuit of large-scale contracts and strategic partnerships.
  • Work closely with other members of the executive committee to align sales strategies with company-wide objectives.
  • Collaborate with operations, marketing, and finance teams to ensure seamless execution of sales initiatives.
Minimum Qualification and Experience:
  • A tertiary qualification in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or related field is essential.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the logistics industry, with at least 5 years at an executive committee (exco) level.
  • Proven track record in a sales leadership role, preferably as a Sales Director or equivalent in a national or global logistics company.
Skills & Competencies:
  • Exceptional leadership capabilities with a demonstrated ability to lead and inspire high-performing teams.
  • Strong strategic thinking, with the ability to develop and execute effective sales strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels.
  • In-depth knowledge of the logistics industry, including market trends, competitive landscape, and operational challenges.
  • Strong financial acumen, with experience managing budgets, forecasting, and driving profitability.
