Job Description
Our client in the telecommunications industry is hiring for a Network Operations Technician as an Independent Contractor for 6-months to be based in Cape Town.Role Purpose:Monitoring of the Transport network(24/7), troubleshooting and co-ordinating resolution of fault with the various support areas. Perform root cause analysis and drive incident lifecycle.Qualification and Experience
- Incident Management & Problem Management.
- Network Management processes and principles
- IP Systems/Networks
- Transport Core and Access Networks and Services
- GSM knowledge and related technologies
- Matric essential
- Degree/3 Year National Diploma (S4)/within the Electrical Engineering /Information Technology /Computer Science/ Software Engineering is essential
- At least 3 years working in the Transmission / IP Networks environment
- To ensure that all network elements are monitored on a 24/7 basis.
- Capture all network incidents on the FMS
- Report, handover and escalate all network faults according to NMC Fault Handling and Escalation Procedures within the prescribed service level agreements
