Job Description


POSITION PURPOSEIdentify, develop, and secure new business opportunities within the private & public sector, fostering strategic partnerships and driving revenue growth.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES

  • Proactively seek new clients, cultivating relationships, and securing sales to meet targets.
  • Develop and Implement a business development strategy to identify and track all new business opportunities.
  • Work closely and manage engagement with different stakeholders across local authorities, provincial and national government, business community and other parties to establish strong working relationships.
  • Monitor industry legislative developments, develop and implement strategic changes in order to maintain compliance and maximize business performance.
  • Effectively network, and develop contacts that will achieve organizational objectives.
  • Work with management and strategic stakeholders at various levels.
  • Create, develop and deliver sales opportunity channels to increase the company's income through existing and potential new clients, initiate, develop and maintain business relationships.
  • Ensure that the management is constantly appraised of the business activity, market opportunities, status, trends and business developments.
  • Produce and deliver a sales action plan which supports the company's strategic objectives, achieving sales targets and using initiative to take corrective measures as needed.
  • Managing rights and obligations under the company's key commercial agreements and other regulatory bodies.
  • Obtain client feedback on service quality and share with management to continuously improve the business operations.
  • Identify new market opportunities, taking the lead on constructing a robust and successful business proposal that secure new deals, contracts and long-term relationships.
  • Obtain support from management to finalize recommendations and negotiations strategy.
  • Conduct market research, analyze trends, and identify opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop tailored solutions.
  • Prepare and deliver proposals, presentations, and pitches.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with management approval.
  • Monitor and report on sales performance and market trends
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality throughout: on current business activities, short-long term plans, proposals under scrutiny and any other activity related to the business;
  • Ensure areas of responsibility are delivered in a way that are consistent with the company's goals and financial-cost improvement plans.
  • Develop and maintain an excellent rapport with key stakeholders such as clients, brokers, regulatory bodies and minimize risks to the business;
  • Provide commercial and business development support/advice to other areas of the business within the Group according to the need.
  • Representing the organization at trade exhibitions, events, expos and other related activities.
  • Dynamic and results-driven professional. Quick learner with a strong aptitude for technology, able to adapt to new tools and systems swiftly.
  • Possess exceptional skills in closing deals and driving business success.
  • A solid understanding of municipal and utility operations will be key to effectively navigating the industry landscape and delivering tailored solutions to clients.

4. Market share increase with revenue targets.QUALIFICATIONS
o Matric
o Utilities Management certificates preferred
o Bachelor's Degree preferredEXPERIENCE / SKILLS / ABILITIES:
o Preferable experience in
  • SMART technology solutions
  • Energy Management
  • Utility Management
o Proven experience in sales, preferably within the industry.
o Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written.
o Ability to analyze data, spot trends, prepare reports and provide insights to clients.
o Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.
o Representable and Customer Services oriented.
o Good understanding of services involved.
o Good administrative skills
o Track record of success with strong client relationships
o Good financial acumen, ability to work to a budget.
o Ability to build strong relationships with customers and manage their expectations
