RS Recruitment Services is assisting a leading organisation in the RETAIL HARDWARE industry to recruit a NEW BUSINESS MANAGER RETAIL PROPERTY ACQUISITIONS to be based at their offices in SOUTH RAND JOHANNESBURG. Basic R45k + car allowance R21k + medical aid and provident fund benefits.OUR CLIENT HAS BEEN IN BUSINESS FOR OVER 30 YEARS AND IS PART OF A GROUP OF 350 RETAIL STORES ACROSS SOUTHERN AFRICA.The purpose of this position is to find new business by facilitating the entry of new stores into the group.Applicants should have/be the following:

• National Senior Certificate (Matric), pre-requisite.
• Relevant tertiary qualification (Business Administration, Legal or related field would be advantageous).
• Experience in the building/hardware industry, an advantage.
• Minimum 5 years experience in the property business.
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of local property and retail development market.
• Firm understanding of financial statements particularly cash flow statements and financing options.
• Ability to undertake and interpret financial feasibility studies.
• Strong negotiating skills.
• Thorough knowledge of leasing and contracts.
• Ability to interpret demographic data.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensuring that Build it has a strong presence in the property development industry.
• Evaluation of prospective sites for Build it on a Macro and Micro level.
• Presentation of selected sites to Regional Committee for Build it Membership approval.
• Finalisation of lease agreements and securing of selected sites for development.
• Interview and evaluation of prospective retailers.
• Oversight of facilitation of Sale of existing Build it stores
