Our client is seeking a dynamic and results-driven New Business Sales Executive/Business Development Manager to join their team and promote their international express courier services.
The New Business Sales Executive/Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying potential clients, developing relationships, and closing sales deals.
This role requires a strong understanding of logistics and international shipping, as well as excellent communication and negotiation skills.
This role is pivotal in expanding their market presence and client base across various countries in Africa. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the logistics industry within the African region, coupled with strong sales acumen and relationship-building skills.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in new business sales, a deep understanding of fashion and textile logistics, technology, industry & manufacturing, logistics or healthcare industries and a proven ability to build and maintain client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and pursue business opportunities within the Africa Lane segment, focusing on key industries such as manufacturing, healthcare, technology, and retail
Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within client organizations.
Conduct persuasive sales presentations to showcase the benefits and features of their international courier services.
Negotiate terms of agreements and contracts with clients to achieve win-win outcomes.
Prepare customized proposals and quotations based on client requirements and their service capabilities.
Stay updated on industry trends, competitive landscape, and market opportunities.
Provide regular sales reports and updates to management, including sales forecasts, pipeline status, and market feedback.
Collaborate with operations and customer service teams to ensure seamless service delivery and resolve any client issues promptly.
Requirements:
Matric (Grade 12) qualification * Bachelors Degree or similar qualification
Minimum 3-year corporate sales record
Proven track record of achieving set targets for a reputable corporate
Industry as well as product knowledge and experience important
Experience in presentation and negotiation of business solutions at senior management level
Valid Code 08 drivers license and own reliable transport
Travel locally and internationally
