Job purpose:

  • Our client is seeking a dynamic and results-driven New Business Sales Executive/Business Development Manager to join their team and promote their international express courier services.
  • The New Business Sales Executive/Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying potential clients, developing relationships, and closing sales deals.
  • This role requires a strong understanding of logistics and international shipping, as well as excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • This role is pivotal in expanding their market presence and client base across various countries in Africa. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the logistics industry within the African region, coupled with strong sales acumen and relationship-building skills.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in new business sales, a deep understanding of fashion and textile logistics, technology, industry & manufacturing, logistics or healthcare industries and a proven ability to build and maintain client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and pursue business opportunities within the Africa Lane segment, focusing on key industries such as manufacturing, healthcare, technology, and retail
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within client organizations.
  • Conduct persuasive sales presentations to showcase the benefits and features of their international courier services.
  • Negotiate terms of agreements and contracts with clients to achieve win-win outcomes.
  • Prepare customized proposals and quotations based on client requirements and their service capabilities.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitive landscape, and market opportunities.
  • Provide regular sales reports and updates to management, including sales forecasts, pipeline status, and market feedback.
  • Collaborate with operations and customer service teams to ensure seamless service delivery and resolve any client issues promptly.
  • Requirements:
Matric (Grade 12) qualification * Bachelors Degree or similar qualification
  • Minimum 3-year corporate sales record
  • Proven track record of achieving set targets for a reputable corporate
  • Industry as well as product knowledge and experience important
  • Experience in presentation and negotiation of business solutions at senior management level
  • Valid Code 08 drivers license and own reliable transport
  • Travel locally and internationally
