Are you passionate about food innovation and bringing new products to market?
We are looking for an experienced New Product Developer (NPD) to lead our product innovation and R&D initiatives. This role will be responsible for developing and launching new products that align with market trends and consumer demands, working closely with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and ensure successful commercialization.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead NPD Strategy:
Drive the development of new food products from concept to launch.
Market Research:
Identify consumer trends, competitor products, and emerging opportunities.
Project Management:
Oversee the end-to-end NPD process, ensuring efficiency and timely execution.
Collaboration & Coordination:
Work closely with production, marketing, sales, and procurement teams.
Supplier & Vendor Management:
Source and evaluate raw material and packaging suppliers.
Food Safety & Quality Compliance:
Ensure all products meet industry regulations and quality standards.
Marketing Liaison:
Collaborate with external marketing teams for product positioning and branding.
Skills and Experience Required:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Food Science / Consumer Science or equivalent
2-3 years of experience in product development, innovation, or marketing within the food industry.
Background in baked goods or snack products (preferably rusks, biscuits, or crackers).
Other Requirements:
Own reliable transportation (preferred)
Valid driver's license
Skills & Competencies:
Strong organizational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Analytical mindset with proficiency in market research and data analysis.
Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
Ability to work in fast-paced, cross-functional environments.
Proficiency in project management, branding, and packaging strategies.
Understanding of food safety regulations and quality assurance standards.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to learn and adapt to changing project requirements
Preferably proficient in baking/have some knowledge of baking (Not required)
