Our client is looking for a New Product Developer to join their teamJob Specification
Coordinate all NPD trials, recipes, research, formulations, ingredients and communication thereof to the organisation on all assigned projects
This is preliminarily but not limited to DC1 projects
ISO, HACCP, GMP
Food Technology
World-class manufacturing and quality practices and models Specific product and process knowledge
Project Management Principles and Practices
Principles of effective communication, Business Administration and Management
Principles and Practices of Customer and Personal Service Principles and Practices
Administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology
QC skills and use of apparatus and machinery
Information Gathering
Processing Information Management
Legislation, Policies, procedures and standards
Communicate all project information and maintain the NPD Project site according to standards
Trial dairy, fruit and flavours to assist NPD with new product trends
Carry out all administrative duties as required by the NPD Manager or other role players
Upload of information on Pathfinder and CSB
Ensure effective participation in MDWT initiative and team meetings
Recipes are developed to comply with client brief fully
Team are managed and guided to ensure Kitchen samples are made as per the recipe for the new product brief
Attend NPD and supplier meetings
Attend customer meetings and tasting
Schedule and conduct production trial runs for new products with the relevant production plant
Evaluate all factory trial using a trained taste panel
Provide consistent feedback and highlight problems in all communications
Ensure compliance to health and safety Procedures
Coordinate, communicate all project information and maintain the NPD Project site according to standards
Research trends in dairy, fruit and flavours to assist NPD
All artwork complies with legislation
Identifies risks and takes calculated risksMinimum Requirements
Studying towards a degree in B.Sc Chemistry or Biochemistry / Microbiology / Biotechnology / Food Science or +
BTech: Food Technology / B. Consumer science
Or 3-5 years of relevant work experience
