Location Gauteng Position Band EL Who You Are: * You have a reputation as a strong communicator * You influence people from different levels of the organization * Excellent communication skills and ability to build solid relationships with individuals at all levels, in multiple geographies and business functions, both internally and externally * Must be able to multi-task and project manage many tasks simultaneously * Ability to work under continual deadlines * Team player What youll have done before: * NQF Level 7 (Chemical Engineering/ Chemistry or Equivalent ) * 6 years experience in Product Development within Chemical and Related industry What you will be doing * Conduct secondary research to identify new product trends, opportunities & market developments to deliver on future growth and profitability plan. Provide technical support & training to sales team and customers on new products * Determine project forecast for year ahead and manage budget with agreed LOAs and ensure accurate budget indicators are available and manage cost control processes and report on budget variances and authorise expenditure within LOAs * Evaluate new individual product lifecycles for cost effectiveness and ensure new product introduction, modification and deletion of obsolete products/products to be replaced is carried out as part of PLCM system requirements * Ensure product costing is monitored and controlled and prepare product forecast Interpret customer, industry and market needs, price perception, value perception and satisfaction through analyzing data, customer research & market trends, industry networking, and filter this through to a product strategy that results in portfolio growth and that profit targets are met * Plan and execute new product introduction launches with relevant stakeholders. Secure sources of supply for new products and ensure proper controls in place to mitigate business risks . Ensure that related SLA's are in place. * Conduct research on industry trends on factors driving product demand, pricing impacts and competitor operations and ensure that products are delivered in line with agreed product development plan. * Interpret customer, industry and market needs, price perception, value perception and satisfaction through analyzing data, customer research & market trends
