Job Description


Delaire Lodges & Spa is looking for a Night Auditor to assist guests with their overnight requests and balance accounts for the day shift. The night auditor will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to quests and keep the front desk running smoothly.RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Checking in late arrivals and room guests;
  • Report all maintenance issues (example: if lights are not working, aircons, etc.);
  • Answer all phone calls and action accordingly;
  • Ensure that the sauna, steam room, gym equipment and aircon's are all switched off;
  • Make sure all charges are posted and dockets are present, if not email FOHM and Guest Relations;
  • Check void forms and make sure all paperwork are done;
  • Ensure the lodge room rates are all correct and if any discrepancy, to email FOHM and Shift leader;
  • Run the close of the Cashier and Cash Register and do the Cash Register Closure reports;
  • Run End of Day reports (Z-report);
  • Operating outlets prelists and closed off bills balanced;
  • Prepare wakeup call list should there be any requests;
  • Prepare weather cards and arrival cards for the next day;
  • Ensure breakfast packs are ready at given time of guest request;
  • Should we have a No-show: move this to the next day for reservations department to handle;
  • Make sure all lodge keys at the front desk are accounted for;
  • Make sure all radios are on charge;
  • Make sure all credit card machines are on charge;
  • Check that all stationery is in place and desk is tidy for the next shift;
  • Light the tea light candles & sat the bunson burners;
  • Check-out lodge guests - if early departure;
  • Update and send handover email;
  • Do a complete handover with early & late shifts;
  • Log off from Protel;
  • Able to correctly react and assist in an emergency situation ie: medical, fire or theft.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Hospitality qualifications (diploma/certificate);
  • 2-3 years similar experience/hospitality;
  • Strong administration skills;
  • Proficiency in English;
  • Customer service focus;
  • Excellent ability to pay attention to detail;
  • Stress tolerance & able to work under pressure;
  • High standards of ethical conduct, i.e. honesty, integrity;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Planning & Organizing skills;
  • Reliable, adaptable and flexible;
  • Self-discipline;
  • Be alert and innovative;
  • The ability to liaise and work with various cultures and religions;
  • Must be flexible with working weekends and holidays.
