Job SummaryKey Responsibilities:

• Prepare and bake a variety of breads, pastries, cakes, and other baked goods according to hotel recipes and standards.
• Work independently during the overnight shift to ensure timely production and preparation for the next dayxe2x80x99s service.
• Ensure all items are baked to perfection, maintaining consistency in taste, texture, and presentation.
• Follow all recipes and production schedules while adjusting for inventory and demand.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the baking area, adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Monitor stock levels and assist in ordering baking supplies, ensuring ingredients are fresh and properly stored.
• Ensure the correct use and maintenance of baking equipment, reporting any issues or necessary repairs to the kitchen management team.
• Maintain proper food handling and hygiene practices to ensure the safety of all products produced.
• Assist in the development of new baked goods or seasonal items as needed.
• Work collaboratively with the pastry team to ensure all products are ready for service and meet the hotelxe2x80x99s standards.
• Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations and cleanliness standards in the kitchen.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a baker, pastry chef, or in a similar role within a professional kitchen or bakery.
• Knowledge of baking techniques, pastry preparation, and ingredient handling.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently during the overnight shift.
• Strong attention to detail, ensuring consistency in quality and presentation of baked goods.
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
• Ability to manage time effectively and meet production deadlines.
• Flexibility to work overnight shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required.
