Night Manager MP

As our Night Manager, you will manage and monitor the activities of all employees on the night shift, making sure they adhere to the standards of excellence and to the guidelines set in the employee handbook, hotel policies and procedures, coaching, training, and correcting where needed.
Part of your role will be to direct and oversee all hotel operations during the night shift to ensure guest satisfaction and safety as well as conduct briefing for all staff during the night shift. Acting as manager on duty for the hotel in the absence of Management dealing with complaints, problem-solving, disturbances, special requests, and any other issues that may arise will form part of your role.
You must actively participate in the decision-making process on guest relocation for nights when overbooked, execute accordingly, and ensure a smooth relocation process. Monitoring and developing team member performance includes, but is not limited to, providing supervision, scheduling, assigning nightly work, conducting training, counselling and evaluations, and delivering recognition and reward.
Part of your duties will be to accurately complete the daily night audit, balance all the reconciliations, and oversee the preparation and accuracy of Daily Revenue Reports. You will also assist the Front Office Manager in implementing and enforcing financial controls throughout the department.
Along with your Matric Certificate, you have a hospitality qualification from a recognised South African or International Educational Institution. You have 5 years' experience as a Front Office/ Night Manager in a busy, high-demand environment, with experience in a leadership role. A strong room division and food and beverage operational background with experience in leading and managing teams will strengthen your application.
You must be able to work shifts and fulfil duty management shifts when required. You have a Driver's License and are comfortable using technology, including micros, opera/speed point machines, CCTV, and MS 365.
