The Night Shift Logistics Controller plays a crucial role in overseeing logistics operations during night hours, ensuring smooth and efficient processes while maintaining high standards of quality and customer service. This position requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently, and a proactive mindset.Responsibilities:

• Supervision: Oversee night shift logistics operations, including transportation, regular follow ups, system updating, and distribution activities. Coordinate with team members to ensure adherence to schedules, procedures, and performance standards.
• Monitoring: Monitor inbound and outbound shipments, tracking transportation vehicles, and ensuring on-time delivery and pick-up of goods. Address any delays or issues promptly and proactively communicate with stakeholders.
• Problem Solving: Identify and resolve logistical challenges and issues that arise during the night shift, such as transportation delays, and equipment malfunctions. Implement solutions to minimize disruptions and maintain operational efficiency.
• Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with night shift staff, transporter suppliers, and other stakeholders. Provide updates on logistics activities, relay instructions, and address concerns in a timely manner.
• Documentation: Ensure accurate and complete system updates are done timeously. Record any deviations from standard procedures and follow-up actions taken.
• Emergency Response: Act as a point of contact and coordinator during emergency situations, such as accidents, equipment failures, or adverse weather conditions. Implement contingency plans and coordinate with relevant parties to mitigate risks and ensure safety.
• Team Support: Provide support day shift team members and assistance with tasks as needed. Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, collaboration, and accountability.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in logistics, transportation, or warehouse operations, with a focus on night shift work.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Problem-solving abilities and the ability to think critically under pressure.
• Knowledge of logistics software and systems is a plus.
• Flexibility to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
