Non Motor Claims Specialist

Job Description
The main purpose of the Claims Specialists role is to validate and administrate a clients claim following a fortuitous event. The claims specialist will be responsible for various Non-Motor Claims. Claims settlement determinations are made in accordance with Standard Operating Procedure, claims guidelines, the specialist own mandate, and the clients policy schedule.Requirements:
- Matric Certificate - essential
- RE - highly advantageous
- Higher Certificate in Short term Insurance -NQF 5 or Full Qualification NQF 4 - highly advantageous
- Must be compliant with FAIS Fit and Proper requirements with track-record of working unsupervised
- Computer literate - Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Experience working on the TIAL Operating System (System A) - highly advantageous
- Experience in non-motor claims- preferred, but not essential
- At least 2 years relevant work experience where customer service forms an intrinsic part of the role
- Work experience within a licensed insurer - highly advantageous
- Work experience with Brokers - Pre-requisite
- Effective time management skills required: the ability to function and perform well in a fast-paced environment
