Experience in Project management, critical path and NPD Stage Gate management Previous experience working within an FMCG or food manufacturing environment is advantageous. Candidates should be innovative, creative and eager to learn, with a preference for those with packaging technology qualification or experience.Role DescriptionThe position is for a full-time onsite Senior Food Technologist at Grassroots Group (Pty) Ltd located in Gouda, Cape Town.Job Purposes and Responsibilities:To create suitably packaged fruit-based snacks and prototypes of new and innovative products. Providing technical insight, troubleshooting and recommendations to the project team. Collaborating with cross functional departments to ensure successful launches, implementation and optimization while adhering to NPD procedure and food labelling regulations.MAJOR TASKS TO ACHIEVE OBJECTIVES ABOVE:Key tasks include (but not limited to):Implementation of NPD procedures, including product assessment, redevelopment, and costings.Part of a food culture focused on quality control systems and departmental audit compliance.Organising and preparing project reports, technical proposals and presentationsQualities we seek:Strong character with the ability to work well in a team, and be able to build strong relationships internally and externally.
