Requirements
  • Must be available IMMEDIATELY
  • Valid SANC licence
  • Strong clinical competence - at least 3 years clinical experience as a Professional Nurse within a hospital environment
  • 1 - 2 years experience as a peer mentor/workplace assessor or nursing staff learning and development experience
  • Working experience with adult learning principles
  • Facilitation skills
  • Assessment skills
  • Clinical risk management skills
  • Excellent knowledge of all nursing processes and procedures
  • Continuous improvement and quality assurance methodologies
  • Good knowledge of relevant nursing legislation
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication skills
Key OutputsJob description: To plan and facilitate identified training and development interventions to ensure competency of all nursing staff working in general wards.
  • Mentor, develop the competence of nursing staff at the client
  • Facilitates training and learning by establishing a learning culture
  • Supports the quality management and improvement programme
  • Applies quality management principles to training interventions
  • Ensure the correct application of nursing procedures and policies
  • Identify training needs to guide the development of appropriate clinical training interventions
  • Promote a culture of continuous professional development
