Role PurposeThe role of the Clinic Manager is to oversee all daily operations of the clinic within the ethical standards of the nursing profession.
Requirements

  • A National Senior certificate is essential
  • Its essential to have an Occupational Health Nurse Diploma / Degree
  • Minimum of 3 - 5 years experience in Occupational Health Nursing
  • Valid Basic Life Support for healthcare providers certification is essential
  • A Dispensing course certificate is essential
  • Minimum of 3 5 years experience in clinic management is preferred
  • It is essential to be registered with the South African Nursing Council as an Occupational Health Nurse
  • Have a good understanding of the Health & Safety Act and relevant legislation
  • It is essential to have your own insured vehicle and valid driving licence
  • MS Office / 365 proficiency
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Deliver comprehensive nursing services to patients, ensuring their well-being and appropriate treatment through necessary referrals for medical care when required.
  • Supervise and manage daily clinic operations, providing efficient healthcare services and ensuring compliance with service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Supervise and manage clinic staff, including off duties, leave, performance appraisals, training, legal compliance, registration.
  • Ensure clinic audit compliance and closing of gaps.
  • Assist medical practitioners during examinations, supporting their clinical activities and contributing to optimal patient care.
  • Participate in monthly meetings with the Client Manager and other stakeholders, fostering collaboration and aligning objectives for improved healthcare services.
  • Maintain effective communication channels with stakeholders to ensure clear and timely exchange of information, facilitating seamless coordination of patient care.
  • Ensure a clean and well-maintained clinic environment, promoting hygiene and safety standards for the well-being of patients and staff.
  • Provide administrative support to facilitate smooth clinic operations and efficient management of documentation.
  • Ensure that the medicine/drug register is up to date in compliance with legal requirements, maintaining accurate records of medications.
  • Manage stock inventory, including stock taking, balancing, ordering, and vendor coordination, to ensure the availability of necessary medical supplies and equipment.
  • Compile relevant reports to provide insights and data for informed decision-making and improved healthcare delivery.
  • Ensure that all clinic employees have received the required training and are fully compliant with all standard operating procedures and scope of practices.
  • Review blood test results and refer patients to appropriate healthcare facilities when necessary.
  • Cultivate a positive work climate and culture that motivates employees, enhances productivity, and fosters a sense of purpose in their work.
  • Demonstrate exemplary leadership behaviour, actively supporting organisational values and fostering commitment and dedication among team members.
  • Exercise control over the allocated budget, authorising expenditures, and adhering to financial regulations.
