Are you in the market for a long-term contract opportunity at a well-established and leading healthcare agency? MHR is currently recruiting an Occupational Technician - Audiometrist to work at ArcelorMittal in Vanderbijlpark in Gauteng (Approximately 60 - 70 km from Johannesburg).

• Note that this is a contract opportunity with long-term shifts
• Working hours: Monday - Thursday: 07:00 - 16:30 and Friday: 07:00 -13:00 (Not required to work weekends or public holidays)

RequirementsThe following certificates and experience are essential

• Spirometry
• Audiometry
• Vision testing

Other requirements include:

• Previous work experience as an occupational technician is essential
• Accurate record keeping
• Managing archives
• Record keeping
• Excellent time management - must be able to work at a very high pace and stick to time frames
• Taking blood pressure and blood glucose
• Urine testing
• Good organisational skills, the ability to work independently and effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team to ensure that an efficient service is delivered
• Client service skills, active listening skills, sensitivity and understanding, pay attention to detail and good verbal communication skills

Key Outputs

• Perform Spirometry tests according to standards
• Audiometry tests according to standards
• Competent in taking of blood pressures and blood glucose
• Vision testing
• Urine testing
• Accurate record keeping
• Managing archives
• Accurate preparation of records
• Exellent time management
• Be able to work at a very high pace and stick to time frames.
• Must rotate in the different stations in the Fitness department
• Must be able to work well in a team and adapt on short notice
